CHILDREN FIRST, FAMILY WORSHIP

Sadie Wohlfahrt, Children’s Director

  • Jr. Worship Leaders/Children’s Choir: During our first session, kindergarten-6th graders will work with adult worship leaders and our choral director to prepare to lead worship for our monthly, family worship service—Children First.
  • The foundation of our Sunday school classes is to nurture children and offer them knowledge, skills, and values to grow into adult followers of Jesus Christ.
  • Babies through Kindergarten meet in the 1st floor nursery wing. Kindergartners will be escorted to their classroom following Children’s Choir. 1st-6th graders meet upstairs in the children’s wing .

Ministry Through Song – Sundays @ 10:45am

  • The Sprouts choir (for ages 3, 4 & 5) meets on Sunday mornings at 10:45am in the first floor nursery wing.
  • Children are escorted to their Sunday school class right after choir (also in the nursery wing).

Sprouts is where parents of young children connect with one another and build relationships. We offer a variety  of activities to help families build a foundation for raising children in faith. Be sure to pick up the group’s latest calendar of events outside  of Hines Hall today!

Seedlings is where parents of elementary aged kiddos connect with one another and build  relationships. The group meets the last Sunday of every month from 4pm—6:30pm for Sunday Family Fun Day. We’ll  kick-off the event with a special craft or family activity, practice songs for our upcoming Children First worship service (taking place the 1st Sunday of the month) and conclude the night with supper. Seedlings also offers a  variety of activities like parents nights out, play dates and more

Roots is our ministry to 5th and 6th graders, with formal confirmation classes in the winter and spring. The groups meet on Sunday mornings from 10am—10:45am to take steps in their faith journey together. From January 27 to March 31, we will engage in our formal confirmation curriculum, led by Ms. Sadie. 6th grade students will have the opportunity to be confirmed in the church on Sunday, April 28 at 11:00 am during the Traditional Service.

Childcare is available during our Sunday worship services for children 5 and younger. Parents are asked to register their children at the kiosks by the nursery.  Pre-registration is not required.Childcare is also provided for special worship services, programs and events. We require RSVP for childcare at least 48 hours prior to the special event or program to ensure adequate staffing.  Click here to view our nursery policies.
