Explore and Discover Preschool is dedicated to providing quality Christian early childhood education in a fun, loving, and creative atmosphere. It is the goal of our professional, dedicated staff to nurture, guide, and instruct children while preparing for their future education. Our teaching philosophy is rooted in the theory of child development. Your child’s intellectual, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual development is emphasized in our instruction and activities. We are dedicated to the idea that learning is a positive and ongoing experience full of fun and creativity. 

Explore and Discover Preschool is an Arkansas Accredited preschool through the Better Beginnings program. Better Beginnings qualifications are standards above the basic state licensing requirements.

$75 non-refundable registration/activity fee at the time of registration

We follow the Bentonville Public Schools’ calendar, starting the day after Labor Day and ending the week before Memorial Day.

Classrooms

Our classroom is set up in learning centers: Dramatic Play, Blocks & Imaginative Play, Art, Sensory Bins, Math & Science, Hands-on Manipulatives/Puzzles, Sand Table, Library, and Music. Each center’s activities provide open-ended learning experiences allowing children to make choices, move freely and independently, and grow in an interactive process. Our curriculum is aligned with the AR Early Learning Standards/Kindergarten readiness and is state approved. During at least one of our daily Explore and Discover times (free-choice centers), the teachers will also offer a small group activity focusing on one or more Kindergarten readiness skills or concepts.

Faith in the Classroom

Once a month, children will meet for Chapel Time with Ms. Lexie, the Family Ministries Assistant, and share an interdenominational Christian message through story, song, and prayer. Prayers of thanksgiving are shared at the start and end of the day and before snack time.

Staff

Our director and teachers are experienced early childhood educators with college backgrounds. They participate in 20+ hours annually of continuing education and professional development to stay abreast of current educational and childcare methods and practices. All staff are CPR certified and must pass state and federal background checks.
