Celebrating Michelle Amos

This Sunday we will hear Michelle Amos preach for us, and we will send her off with our blessings to become the Director of the Wesley Foundation for Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist universities. If you would like to bring a card and/or a love offering, we will have baskets in both worship spaces. If you would like to give a love offering online, go to this link, and choose Special Offering. Please note: this is also being used for tornado recovery, so gifts given from Friday, June 14-Monday, June 17 will be assumed for Michelle. Other dates will be for tornado recovery. If you want to make sure your funds are directed appropriately, send a note to

Spark Good Matching Funds!
We have learned that Walmart is matching associate donations up to $10,000 per individual from June 1-30 up to $1 million. Our church and/or Second Street Pantry can be one of the beneficiaries of your gifts. Please donate ASAP before the funds are depleted!

Donations must be made through the Spark Good Associate platform, and select our church as your choice. Thank you so much for your support of the work we do here in Bentonville.

Office Closed for Annual Conference
Due to our current staff shortage and the number of our people who will be representing our church at the Arkansas Annual Conference meeting (7 altogether), we will close the church office Wednesday through Friday of this week. If you have a group meeting in the church during those days, make sure Pastor Michelle knows so she can program the locks on the doors and the air conditioning appropriately.

Two Staff Positions Open for Interviews
With the departure of Toni Hinrichs, the Staff Parish Relations Committee has decided to restructure office personnel, and we will be hiring a Facilities Manager and a Church Office Accountant. Interviews have already begun, but if you are interested in applying or know someone who is, click these links for the descriptions.

Sound Training June 23
We need more people trained to run our sound boards, so if you have ever been curious about sound design or want to serve your church in this way, there will be a training at 10 a.m. in Hines Hall with Heath Parnell, Assistant Director of Production at the Walmart AMP.  Don't miss this incredible opportunity!

Disaster Recovery Needs
We still have people in our congregation/community who need help with recovery. If you want to help and just need to know where to go, let Pastor Michelle know. Also if you can share your regular availability, she can put you in touch with others who have similar availability. If anyone is feeling moved to take over organizing long term recovery efforts, also let Michelle know. And of course if you still need help, get on our list and we will work to get to you as soon as possible.

Disaster Recovery Resources
There is a Benton County Relief Fund that could provide help if you need it, or use support if you want to help others. Check out info at harknwa.com.

We have been declared a federal emergency, so assistance may also be available from FEMA. Call 1-800-621-3362.

Missional Prayer Team meets Noon on Mondays
The Missional Prayer Team has moved their meetings to Mondays at noon in the Parlor, and they invite anyone with a heart for prayer to join them. This team meets for an hour and specifically lifts up the needs of our wider community as we seek to be loving neighbors to those around us, as well as lifts up pressing needs and ministries of our church. If you have any questions, contact Johnna Kosnoff at

Prayers for Annual Conference
Please be in prayer for our Bishop Laura Merrill and the Arkansas Annual Conference meeting taking place in Hot Springs June 19-21.
