Sunday, May 26
Rev. Dr. T. Ray Wheeler

The World is My Parish: Seeds of Evangelism and Inclusion

Romans 5:1-11 (CEB)
In honor of Aldersgate Sunday, Ray will preach on his trip to England and what he was able to learn from his travel study of the beginnings of our United Methodist Church. From John Wesley’s assurance of forgiveness at a meeting in Aldersgate, to his preaching in open-air fields to thousands of poor factor workers and miners, to the building of the Wesley Chapel in London, how did the experiences of these early church founders shape our values and understandings of our mission as a congregation today?

To kick off our Holiday Road Sermon Series we will be having a single combined service in the Sanctuary on June 2 at 11 am, followed by a churchwide Potluck at 12 pm in Hines Hall. Sign up for the potluck here.
