Second Street Yard Sale
Saturday, November 2, the Second Street Pantry will have a yard sale on the FUMC parking lot from 8 am-3 pm. If you want to donate items for the sale, please bring them to the church. We have a rack set up space to showcase, we are only looking at minimal clothing (coats, gloves, sweatshirts/pants, etc)
Proceeds from the sale will be used to help offset the cost of Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes for our food-insecure neighbors. This year we have seen double-digit increases in operating costs as well as the number of those needing help.
Please come shop the sale and help us serve those in need.
And if anyone needs a pick up of donation merchandise they can text 479-633-1070 and we will make arrangments for pick up.
If you would like to help on the day of the sale, just show up! We will be open 8 am-3 pm

Calling All Writers! Write for next year's Lenten Devotional
We are seeking people who are willing to write for the Lenten Devotional that will go with this year's series that we will make available to other churches. This year's theme is Mitigated Disaster. We will view the crucifixion as humanity's greatest disaster, and the resurrection as its full mitigation. We will also reflect on our own community's experience with disaster recovery. Writers will be assigned a passage to reflect on, and passages only need to be 150-250 words. Share your perspective, and make a difference in the faith lives of others! To sign up, click here!
