UMCOR Sager Brown, Louisiana, February 2-7, 2025 Mission Trip Registration
After the tornados and high winds ripped through NWA in May, we experienced the relief that UMCOR provides when disaster hits; so we know how valuable their work is. Our church will be leading another team to Sager Brown Feb 2-7, 2025, to support this important work by helping in their current area of need. Each year the work is slightly different but last year we helped pack relief kits, performed light construction, and assisted in outreach opportunities in town. While this is a working mission trip, it is also a faith filled week with an opportunity for a spiritual retreat because we have rest time for reflection and devotion throughout our stay. We also have one day for sightseeing. As we meet other groups who travel in, we grow closer in relationship to one another, to others and to Christ as we reflect and work together.
In February 2024, our church sent a team of 12 to the UMCOR Sager Brown Mission in Baldwin, Louisiana and we have room to take 16 this year! The cost is $330.00 per person including meals and lodging. Transportation and sightseeing are not included but we will try to coordinate as a group. Full payment is required at registration and refunds are not guaranteed for cancellation. Sign-up deadline is October 25, 2024.

Beer & Hymns | Oktoberfest
Sunday, October 6, 5-7 PM @ Bike Rack Brewing Co.
Guten Tag!
We’re kicking off this month with brats, beer, and community spirit to support the work we do all year long. Grab your glass boot and join us for a pint (or four) as we sing band favorites from years past!
Beer & Hymns brings people together to raise our glasses, raise our voices, and raise funds for organizations that change the world. As our events grow each year, the resources needed to make them happen grow too. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that 100% of proceeds, plus 10% of sales from Bike Rack Brewing Co., will benefit the work of Beer & Hymns. A huge thanks to our friends at FNBNWA for donating and grilling the brats!
Ways to Donate
• In person at our events
• Online at beerandhymns.com
• Venmo to @BeerAndHymnsCharity

Charge Conference and Chili Supper Monday, October 28
Mark your calendar and plan to attend our church’s Charge Conference Monday, October 28 at 6:30 pm in Hines Hall. At this meeting we elect new leaders from a nominated list and review past and upcoming ministry for our church. District Superintendent RoyBeth Kelley will preside. Best of all, the Chancel Choir will host one of their famous Scholarship Fund Chili Suppers that night at 5:30 p.m. Come have great food, support and celebrate the work of our church together!
Save Your Bottlecaps!
Art and Faith are working on an art project and they need your bottlecaps! Save them from soda and disposable water bottles (though we do encourage you to use a refillable water bottle) and bring them to put in the collection points at church (office and coffee hour area). Let's make something beautiful out of our trash!
